STUDENT ACCOMMODATION ADDITION

Semester 1, 2020

This design was to create a building that can accommodate over 200 students and makes them feel welcome. Warm and inviting common rooms allow for interactions and connections. This was an important part of the design as living away from home can often be lonely for students.

The image on the right is the floor plan of what sits directly on top of the library. Two staircases lead up from the library into the courtyard. Four different staircases and two elevators lead to the above levels. There is a cafe at the back, and the reception area for the student accommodation.
